i’m too fat for him
i’m too ugly for him
i’m too disordered for him
i’m not good enough for him
i’m not good enough for anyone
No one is immune from bullying. Whether you are the oppressor, the victim or the witness, you are part of a cycle that needs to end.
This is the reason why bullying is still happening. This shows us how careless society is to each other. Most people don’t care about if you get beaten up or threatened. Only a few people are brave enough to stand up and take responsibility. In this society it all about taking care about ourselves first. No wonder that people are scared or won’t care. It’s because society has made it like that.
It’s understandable if you don’t want to get involved because you don’t have anything to do with it. But what if it was you who was getting beaten up. What if it was you who was treated like trash in front of everyone. What if it was you getting threats if you didn’t do something.
What if it was you?
Then you would care. Then you would do something and then you realise how awfully cruel this society is. Everyone says that we have to stop bullying, we need to prevent it and more bullshit about how what we should do. But how many times does anything happen? How many times has it made a change? That’s the problem.
Like people say excuses like "It’s not my business" "That is not my problem" "I don’t want to interfere" "It’s not my responsibility". Well I’ll tell you something, it is your fucking responsibility and it is your fucking business if someone you see is getting hurt by someone. You’d care if it was you who had to give all your money because an asshole is going to beat you up if you don’t.
I’ve experienced how little people care about bullying and harassment. I was harassed in school for almost 5 months before anyone did anything. I wrote a letter to my teacher and I talked to my teacher about it a couple of times, but it just stopped it for a week or so. So eventually I snapped, I couldn’t take it any more. I stood up and took it in my own hands, during the class. I was so angry and sick of being harassed, so it ended up with that the substitute teacher took me and my best friend at the time out of the classroom. (My best friend at the time were also harassed by the same person) She talked to us and we explained what was going on while in the classroom the person who harassed us was given a preach from our teacher assistant, According to my friend, he was so angry and mad at him so the whole class was a little terrified of him. None of us has seen him so mad. It ended with the person got a proper talk with the substitute teacher and he quitted being an asshole to us.
That was just an example of what it actually takes to make people notice what is going on. People are blind, they don’t see what they don’t want to see. They don’t see it before it has gone too far, either if someone has been beaten up real bad or if it end with suicide or anything like that.
THIS IS A PROOF THAT PEOPLE DON’T CARE, UNLESS IF IT’S ABOUT THEMSELVES. IF BULLYING IS GOING TO STOP, WE HAVE TO CHANGE OURSELVES BEFORE WE CHANGE OTHER PEOPLE.
STAND UP AND HELP SOMEONE. JUST TRY TO BE THE ONE LITTLE STEP TO A BULLY FREE SOCIETY
